Dave Matthews tells Billboard magazine that he and his band mates occasionally look online to see what songs fans want them to play.
"Certain songs fall out of favor with us for whatever reason and don't appear for a while, but they come back around eventually and reappear," Dave said. "We look online or hear through conversations maybe what songs fans want to hear, and if they're songs that also we don't mind playing or we start getting back into, then we try to bring those in."
Not surprisingly, Dave's comments have spurred quite a few "Bring back (insert song here)" threads on Dave Matthews Band message boards. In the interview, Dave also talks about DMB's approach to touring, its record sales vs. its live reputation, and the fact that only the Rolling Stones have sold more tickets in the past decade.
