Live Trax 8 Announced

A cover of Rick James' "Super Freak" highlights Dave Matthews Band's next live album. Live Trax 8 is from the Aug. 7, 2004 show in East Troy, Wisconsin, and it's now available for preorder. DMB played "Super Freak" as a segue between "So Much to Say" and "Too Much" to honor James, who died the day before. The show also features "Crazy Easy," a song that DMB played only in 2004, plus the rarities "I'll Back You Up" and "Help Myself." For a 2004 show, the setlist doesn't get much better.

Baby, Album Due for Dave

Dave Matthews and his wife Ashley are expecting their third child in July. These minutes of a meeting regarding Dave Matthews Band's proposed Wrigley Field concerts say the band can't play on the planned July dates because of the impending birth, and that Wrigley is now looking to book the Police to play instead. There's no word yet on how the news will affect the rest of the band's summer tour.

Dave and Ashley have 5-year-old twin daughters, Grace and Stella. In other news, Billboard has listed July as the release date for DMB's next studio album.
