Dave Matthews Band to play West Point

The U.S. Military Academy has won AT&T's World's Loudest Pep Rally contest and will host two Dave Matthews Band shows Nov. 14 and 15. DMB also announced a Nov. 13 show at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, N.J.

The Army shows will take place on campus at the Eisenhower Hall Theater, which has a capacity of 4,433 -- likely the smallest venue for a DMB show since 1996. Nearly all of the tickets are reserved for cadets, but Warehouse members can win two free tickets through a lottery. The New Jersey show is a regular, public arena show.

Robert Randolph and the Family Band will be the opening act for all three shows, which are DMB's final performances of 2007.

Dave Matthews Band plans one more 2007 show

Dave Matthews Band has announced it will play one more public concert this year.

The show will take place sometime in November, but the location and exact date won't be released until later this week. Chances are the concert will take place somewhere near the World's Loudest Pep Rally, an AT&T-sponsored concert featuring DMB and Robert Randolph and the Family Band. AT&T held a contest between U.S. colleges and universities to see who could submit the most "invitations" to DMB, and the winner will be announced tomorrow.

That private, on-campus concert will take place during the week of Nov. 12, and the last count before voting closed showed the U.S. military academies -- Army, Navy and Air Force -- at the top of the list.

Dave Matthews' label to release Radiohead album

Two independent record labels with ties to Dave Matthews Band will release Radiohead's new album in the United States, according to The New York Times.

The labels are ATO Records, which was co-founded by Dave, and Side One Recordings, which is part of DMB manager Coran Capshaw's music empire. Radiohead has already released In Rainbows online, allowing fans to name their own price for the album, but the band is now planning a more traditional release through independent labels.

Other ATO artists include David Gray, Gov't Mule, My Morning Jacket and Mike Doughty.

The CD and DVD will feature several live songs that DMB has never released before, including "Corn Bread," "#27" and "Eh Hee." Allman Brothers Band guitarists Warren Haynes and Gregg Allman sat in on "What Would You Say" and the Allmans' "Melissa," respectively.
