Dave Matthews Band gives tickets to 9/11 rescuers
Dave Matthews Band is donating tickets for its New York City lung cancer benefit concert to emergency workers who responded to the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.
DMB is playing the Stand Up for a Cure show on Sept. 10 at Madison Square Garden to raise money for lung cancer research. Many members of the New York Police Department, Fire Department of New York and other 9/11 rescuers have suffered respiratory ailments since responding to the collapse of the World Trade Center towers.
