Report: Jeff Coffin in talks to join DMB
Jeff Coffin, saxophonist for Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, could be the newest member of Dave Matthews Band.
Coffin is in talks to permanently replace LeRoi Moore, according to The Salt Lake Tribune. Moore, DMB’s saxophonist, passed away in August from complications of injuries he suffered in a June ATV accident. Coffin filled in for Moore during DMB’s summer tour.
Dave Matthews recently told AntsMarching.org that new studio recordings DMB made before the summer tour feature LeRoi, and the band is doing its best to include his participation on its next album.
