AOL rates top 10 Dave Matthews Band songs

AOL Radio has issued a list of the top 10 Dave Matthews Band songs, and for a corporate blog, its list is surprisingly in tune with the opinions of hardcore fans.

Here’s the list of DMB’s best songs, according to AOL Radio:

  • 10. “Grey Street”
  • 9. “Satellite”
  • 8. “Ants Marching”
  • 7. “Warehouse”
  • 6. “Crash Into Me”
  • 5. “Funny the Way It Is”
  • 4. “Say Goodbye”
  • 3. “Crush”
  • 2. “#41″
  • 1. “Two Step”

“Crash Into Me” and “Satellite” don’t get a ton of love from hardcore fans because of their hit ballad status, but they’re good songs that helped make DMB what it is today.

The only song you can really complain about is “Funny the Way It Is.” I understand they wanted some representation from the new album, Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King, but “Squirm,” “Time Bomb” or “Why I Am” would have been better choices.

For what it’s worth, here’s my list of DMB’s 10 best songs:

    I'm kind of surprised by all the love Break Free is getting. It's a good song, and it's rare, but top 10? Really?
