Dave Matthews wants Rob Cavallo back as producer
Rob Cavallo will produce Dave Matthews Band’s next studio album, if Dave Matthews has his way.
Dave sung Cavallo’s praises in a recent Minneapolis Star-Tribune interview, calling the producer an “essential, essential part of the puzzle” in recording Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King.
“We couldn’t have made this record without him, and I have no desire to make a record with anyone else right now,” Dave said.
Cavallo is best known for his work producing Green Day and My Chemical Romance. He’s now working on Meat Loaf’s upcoming album.

If future records are anything like Big Whiskey then it's going to be almost impossible to get tickets! Any word on when the next album may come out?
There are rumors of some sort of Dave and Tim album coming this fall, which you can read about here:

There's also a rumored EP featuring older songs recorded during the Big Whiskey sessions, like "Sugar Will." We'll just have to wait and see if either of these ever happen.
