The new LeRoi Moore Fund will offer scholarships and support charities in honor of the late Dave Matthews Band saxophonist.

The LeRoi Moore Fund, established by his trust, will grant scholarships to three institutions: North Carolina Central University, where his parents studied business and education; Albemarle High School, which LeRoi attended; and the University of Virginia School of Nursing. (UVA Medical Center initially treated LeRoi after the June 2008 ATV accident that ultimately claimed his life.)

In addition, the LeRoi Moore Fund will support Toys for Tots, Habitat for Humanity, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. The fund is part of a new LeRoi Moore Web site DMB has set up to honor one of its founding members.
