Dave Matthews Band will honor late saxophonist LeRoi Moore with Live Trax Vol. 14, a recording of his final concert.
LeRoi last played with DMB on June 28, 2008 at the Nissan Pavilion at Stone Ridge in Bristow, Va. Two days later, he broke ribs and punctured a lung in an ATV accident near his Virginia farm, and he passed away from a pulmonary embolism related to those injuries Aug. 19 in Los Angeles, where he had gone to begin rehabilitation.
The June 28 show marked the first time DMB played Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer," and the band also revived "The Space Between" for the first time since 2004. DMB has not confirmed the Live Trax 14 release yet, but the album cover -- a close-up photo of LeRoi playing sax -- has leaked online.
UPDATE (2/3): Dave Matthews Band will donate the album's proceeds in LeRoi Moore's memory to several Charlottesville, Va.-area charities. Live Trax 14 is available for preorder, and DMB is also selling a new saxophone T-shirt.

Tim Reynolds discusses new DMB studio album
Tim Reynolds recently spoke with ColoradoDaily.com, giving a glimpse into the recording of the new Dave Matthews Band album.
Tim is playing guitar on a DMB studio album for the first time since 1998's Before These Crowded Streets. Trumpet player Rashawn Ross, saxophonist Jeff Coffin and producer Rob Cavallo are all making their debuts a DMB studio album, and Tim said that new blood will set the new CD apart from others.
"This new record will be familiar sounding, but there will be some new twists," he said. "I think we'll bring a fresh burst of sound to the band. ... [Cavallo's] really pushing the DMB and it's already very interesting."
The new DMB album is due April 14.

Yukon Kornelius plays in Aspen
Yukon Kornelius, Stefan Lessard's side band, played a private show in Aspen, Colo. on Saturday night.
The show took place at Belly Up Aspen, a live music club, and coincided with the ESPN Winter X Games. Lessard and his bandmates -- Ed Robertson of Barenaked Ladies and Adam Gardner of Guster, along with special guest Eric Fawcett of N.E.R.D. -- played a 12-song set of covers, including five songs they didn't play at their first show in Vermont:
- "Shimmer" by Fuel, accompanied by former Fuel frontman Brett Scallions
- "Shout It Out Loud" by Kiss
- "Cum On Feel the Noize" by Slade
- "Rock You Like a Hurricane" by the Scorpions
- "I Wanna Rock" by Twisted Sister
Twisted Sister lead singer Dee Snyder joined Yukon Kornelius on a few songs, as did "American Pie" actor Jason Biggs.
Dave Matthews Band to play 10,000 Lakes Festival
Dave Matthews Band will headline the 10,000 Lakes Festival in Detroit Lakes, Minn. on July 25.
The 10,000 Lakes Festival is DMB's first confirmed tour date of the summer. Other artists on the bill for the festival include Wilco, Widespread Panic and Umphrey's McGee.
Rolling Stone readers recognize DMB as jam band
Dave Matthews Band has made Rolling Stone's list of top jam bands.
DMB came in ninth on the list, behind the Allman Brothers Band, the Grateful Dead and Phish, but ahead of Gov't Mule, Jimi Hendrix and the String Cheese Incident. But before you go patting Rolling Stone on the back for finally recognizing DMB, know that this list came from the magazine's readers, not its notoriously anti-DMB staff.
