DMB fans slam general admission concert plan
The decision to have general admission standing on the floor at Dave Matthews Band arena and stadium concerts is not going over well with fans.
The move, made this week before the release of the DMB 2010 summer tour dates, also applies to the pit area at most amphitheaters. Most fans on our Facebook page have not taken too kindly to the change. Here’s a sampling of what they had to say:
- Stephanie F.: “i have not been a member of the warehouse for over 10 years, paying my dues, so that some “whoever” can slide in”
- Daria F.: “warehouse sucks! I quit years ago as a senior member. They don’t care about the fans just the money.”
- Jessica W.: “What’s the point of being a member? I have been a member for years and each year we get better seats. I don’t want to go if we will have general admission.”
- Sara D.: “with my experience at GA floor at other concerts, people get outta hand and kinda ruin the fun for ya”
- Tim M.: “It’ll suck for senior members. I don’t like that idea.”
- Teri C.: “GA gives me anxiety”
But some fans did like the move to general admission DMB concerts:
- Travis L.: “I think this is a great policy to combat scalped ticket prices…..Some people are huge fans(bigger than senior members) and get the shaft on good seats every year and have to pay rediculous prices for floor seats.”
- Ealon G.: “HELL YEAH!!!!! I LOVE GA!!!!”
- Anthony S.: “You people need to chill GA rocks and is the vibe wait for the experience, the Dead did GA for years and it was awesome…”
Dave Matthews Band news:
The GA policy sucks for paying Warehouse members. If there is a bigger fan out there that is not a Warehouse member show them to me! I've been a member for over 10 years and this is pure garbage. Whoever is making these decisions at the Warehouse is probably the same person that makes sure that the website gets updated about once every 6 or 7 years. The Warehouse just keeps getting worse every single year…why do I pay my $35 a year? WTF?

I have to thank the WH because this new policy is going to save me several thousand dollars every year! No more shows for me. I've been going to DMB shows for the last 16 years and this is like a slap in the face, definitely not a cool way to take care of your loyal fans and I'm over it, moving on, time for some spry youngster to fight for a seat, I'm too old for this shit.
All of you and the rest of the fanbase seems to be selfish pricks. The vibe is General Admission. Your going to a freaking concert, things are going to get out of control especially at DMB. Stay home and watch a dvd if you wanna see the band in a nice old person atmosphere where no one will bother you.
