Wrigley concerts approved by Chicago City Council
The Chicago City Council today approved two Wrigley Field concerts for September, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Dave Matthews Band is the front-runner to headline the Sept. 17 and 18 Wrigley concerts, but the Chicago Cubs have not made an official announcement. Phish and Paul McCartney are also in the running to play the Wrigley concerts, and the Cubs are trying to win approval for another Wrigley concert in July as well.
A City Council panel gave preliminary approval to the September Wrigley Field concerts last week. The Dave Matthews Band Wrigley Field concerts have been rumored since January.
