Jack Johnson Kokua Festival live album features Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds

Jack Johnson performs in Rio de Janeiro in 2011.
Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds are on the new Jack Johnson live album, Jack Johnson and Friends: Best of Kokua Festival.
The Jack Johnson Kokua Festival live album is a compilation of performances from his annual music event, which benefits the Kokua Hawaii Foundation, an environmental education group. Dave and Tim performed at the festival in 2008 and covered Jimmy Buffett’s “A Pirate Looks at 40″ with Johnson both nights; one of those two versions made the album.
Other guests on the Jack Johnson Kokua Festival live album include Eddie Vedder (on Johnson’s “Constellations” and Bob Dylan’s “I Shall Be Released”), Jackson Browne (on his “Take It Easy”) and Willie Nelson and Ben Harper (on the country classic “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain”).
The Jack Johnson Kokua Festival live album comes out April 17, and Johnson will do a seven-date acoustic tour of Hawaii to promote it. The album and the tour will also benefit the Kokua Hawaii Foundation.
