Dave Matthews, Jakob Dylan writing songs in Louisiana
Dave Matthews and Jakob Dylan are working on some sort of side project.
The two are at Blade Studios in Shreveport, Louisiana, according to several reports. Cameron Theodos, lead singer in a rock band called Alive By Sunrise, tweeted yesterday that he “hung out” with Dave and Dylan “while they wrote new songs.” In response to questions from Twitter users looking for more information, Theodos said he couldn’t disclose more details except that there’s a “side project in the [works.]”
Alive By Sunrise is also working on a new album, but it’s not clear if or how that’s related to Dave and Dylan’s work.
Blade Studios is run by Brady Blade, who played drums on Dave’s 2003 solo album, Some Devil, and in the Dave Matthews and Friends touring band. Dylan held recording sessions at Blade Studios last month.
Jakob Dylan, the son of Bob Dylan, is the lead singer of the Wallflowers, who had several hits in the ’90s and released a new album in October. He has also released two solo albums.
