Lovely Ladies return in Mansfield

The Lovely Ladies are back.

Singers Tawatha Agee, Cindy Mizelle and newcomer Sharon Bryant performed with Dave Matthews Band for the first time in 13 years at last night’s concert in Mansfield, Massachusetts. And their shocking return wasn’t a one-time thing, according to Boyd Tinsley, who tweeted, “They will be with us for a few shows. The dates, I’m not sure of, but they’ll be with us 4 awhile.”

The Lovely Ladies, who toured extensively with DMB from 1998-2001, sang on “Long Black Veil,” “You and Me” and “Stay” to end last night’s second set. They also participated in a crowd-induced singalong of “#36″ when they first took the stage.

The DMB tour resumes Tuesday in Holmdel, New Jersey.
