And profoundly sad. This is as close as I can come to expressing my sense of this tragedy, for words simply fail right now. Still, I&#39;m grateful to have been at Staples Center Wednesday night, where after having had 24 hours to at least try and catch their breath, those boys came together around their brother, and for 3 tasty hours poured their hearts &amp; souls into what I believe may be the best live musical performance I have ever experienced. We'll never forget the impressions that you've left on our lives.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31780033.post-81482964318009349052008-08-20T13:15:00.000-04:002008-08-20T13:15:00.000-04:00With wet eyes and deep sadness I write these words.....It seems impossible...at least hard to want to believe he has left us...I can only imagine the void his brothers must be experiencing at this time...the crafter of beautiful sounds...the "extra" that LeRoi presented to complete the music...the exchange of creativity between artists...feeling the reverberation of that wonderful baritone in his hands, a master of the music...releasing time and allowing the listener to accompany the musician on a melodic journey...LeRoi at the sax, created melody that touched one's core...I am humbled when I think of the privledge of listening to music from such a master....my condolences to his family, Dave, Stephan, Boyd, Carter, Butch and the myriad of musicians and firedancers that are feeling this great loss....good-night my brother. my your sleep be peaceful until we meet again...I remember one year at the Gorge, one of the nights LeRoi was late back to the stage for the encore. The band was playing and his solo part was coming up, he missed the first part, but came in strong when he arrived the show finished strong as usual. We got a good laugh about it because you could tell the rest of the band was giving him the biz during the encore and laughing on stage, etc. The next night, the band comes on stage. LeRoi is without his surgically attached sunglasses. It's sad that a much older Ozzy Osbourne could survive an accident like this just a couple of years back but Leroi unfortunately could not.
